Logos (Word)
This page treats the philosophical concept of Logos,
applicable to created beings as well as to
God the Word.
IN ORTHODOX THEOLOGY:
- God the Father is not "alogos" ["wordless" or "irrational"]:
- The Word is not something external to the Father, like a human's word:
- The Word of God
is not without subsistence or easily dissipated, like a
human's word:
- The word is neither wholly identical with the mind
nor utterly diverse from it:
