Heraclitus the Riddler
VI Century BC
Greek philosopher whose ideas, particularly about the
Logos, assumed a tremendous importance
in Christian theology. He has even been cited as a "prophet
sent to the pagans", like his contemporay
Lao Tzu whom he in many ways resembles. His writings unfortunately
survive only in fragments.
