Under construction --- far from complete! Read with caution.
- The "official" Bible of most Eastern Orthodox jurisdictions
is the Greek text, comprised of the Septuagint
Old Testament and the "Byzantine" New Testament. Of course,
these texts themselves exhibit variation among the manuscripts.
The version blessed by the Church of Greece may be obtained
from the Zoë Brotherhood;
this edition contains a few typographical errors, however. According
to the monks of Holy Transfiguration Monastery, whom in this case
I see no reason to doubt, the best published edition was that
printed in Greek by the Church of Russia before the Revolution;
to my knowledge, this is neither currently in print nor found
in many research libraries.
