Pyrrho the Sceptic

IV/III Centuries BC
Founder of Scepticism. He is supposed to have served in Alexander the Great's army in India, and there to have met Hindu or Buddhist ascetics who influenced his version of apatheia, "ataraxy". His philosophy was of considerable interest to some Russian Orthodox thinkers of the XIX/XX Centuries, notably Paul Florensky.

Under construction --- far from complete! Read with caution.
