Michael Idvorsky Pupin

XIX/XX Centuries
Serbian peasant who became a physicist and electrical engineer
in the United States and was for many years a distinguished
professor at Columbia University; he was also a poet. His autobiography
was
awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1924. He was an Orthodox
believer, and in 1918 wrote a book entitled The Serbian
Orthodox Church, (J. Murray, London).
