The Queen of Sheba

(Arabic BILQIS; Ethiopic MAKEDA)

The "Queen of the South" who visited Solomon. According to the Ethiopian Kebra Negast, she had a son named Menelik by Solomon who later brought the Ark of the Covenant to Axum. She is considered a saint (St. Makeda) by the Ethiopian Church.
