Francis Skorina
(Also FRACISK or FRANTSISK SKARYNA)
XV/XVI Centuries
Early Slavic printer and scientist who published numerous Orthodox
works in Slavonic and a partial translation of the Latin Vulgate
into
Belarussian. He seems to have had connections to both the
Uniate and Orthodox Churches, and possibly to Hussite-influenced
Protestant groups as well.
