Evelyn Underhill
XIX/XX Centuries
An
Anglican spiritual writer whose perceptive
works on
mysticism gave that subject a degree of
respectability in the inter-war decades, Evelyn
Underhill was also very interested in Orthodoxy,
and although she did not join the Church, she
was an important member of the
Fellowship of St. Alban and
St. Sergius.
