Metropolitan Anthony Khrapovitsky,
Archbishop of Kiev and Gallich
XIX/XX Centuries
An important figure in the pre-Revolutionary Russian Church,
he became the leader of ROCOR.
He is often considered one of the outstanding Orthodox theologians
of his generation.
His theory about what transpired in
the Garden of Gethsemane, however, proved controversial,
and was criticized by his most famous disciple
St. John Maximovich.
